Religions in Complex Societies: Understandings and Misunderstandings
October 13-15, 2011
Madrid Spain
The Spanish Society for Sciences of Religions (SECR), a member of the IAHR, will celebrate its XIII Conference on 13-15th October. The meeting will address the wide range of issues and questions that arise from the presence of religion in complex social systems, from ancient times to the present, in a multidisciplinary perspective (sociology, history, literature, philosophy, art, etc.). It is a necessary reflection in a time characterized by the global reach and accelerating pace of social and cultural changes taking place, changes to which religion is no way alien.
Call for Papers: deadline for the submission of communications 20 September 2011; more information in the website of the conference.
