Indian Association for the Study of Religions (IASR) extends its most cordial invitation to all its members and intellectuals for its 2^nd Annual Conference to be held at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan from 4 -5 February, 2006. The theme of the conference is: Creative Encounters of Religions

Membership: Any intellectual having interest in Academic Study of Religion may get the membership of Indian Association for the Study of Religions (IASR). Individual members: Rs. 200-00 annual; Student Membership: Rs.50-00 annual.

Registration: Local Delegates: Rs.100.00, Out Side Delegates: Rs. 500.00,(Indian) Foreign Delegates $200 Student Members: Rs.300.00. Call for Papers:

Deliberations will be made in the following specific areas:

Insider and Outsider Perspectives in Study of Religions, Sociology of Religion and Problem of Insider’s Perspective, Religion as Value System and Religion as Belief System, Fusion of Belief Systems and History of New Ideas in Religions, Idea of Comparative Religion, India Vis-à-vis Western Pedagogic Context, 19^th Century India and Advent of New Religious Movements.
